    Uri Geiger brings extensive entrepreneurial, management and investment know-how, having created and built many successful medical device enterprises.

    Prior to founding Accelmed, Dr. Geiger founded served as CEO of Exalenz Bioscience Ltd. (TASE:EXEN), developer of an innovative breath-based technology for diagnosing liver and gastrointestinal disorders which Dr. Geiger took public in 2007 and later sold to Meridian (NASDAQ: VIVO). Prior to Exalenz, Dr. Geiger co-founded and was the CEO of GalayOr Networks, a developer of optical components, sold in 2003 to MEMSCAP (EuroNext: MEMS). Dr. Geiger is also the founding partner of Dragon Variation Fund, one of Israel’s first hedge funds, which was sold to Migdal in 2007. Dr. Geiger worked on Wall Street during the 1990s, where he gained a broad understanding of capital markets and significant experience, which he put to use after returning to Israel in 1999.

    Dr. Geiger was formerly an adjunct professor at the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University, where he lectured on private equity and venture capital. He is the author of the books: Startup Companies and Venture Capital (Tel Aviv University Press, 2001) and From Concept to Wall Street (Financial Times – Prentice Hall, 2003). He earned his doctorate from New York’s Columbia University Center for Law & Economics, where he majored in global equity markets. Dr. Geiger served as a major in the Israeli Air Force.

    Dr. Geiger is also involved in an extensive philanthropic activity and is the Founder & Chairman of Friends of Poriya Medical Center in the US.

    Steve joins Accelmed from Proskauer, where he was previously co-head of the Private Equity Group. Steve spent more than 30 years in private equity and has been involved in all types of acquisition transactions including auctions and privately negotiated transactions, acquisitions from public and private companies, and acquisitions out of bankruptcy. He has extensive experience in private equity and debt offerings, as well as senior and subordinated loan transactions. Steve is also the former President of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF). Steve holds a J.D. degree from Columbia University School of Law and a B.S. from Cornell University.

    After working with Accelmed for over a decade, Daniel Cohen formally joined Accelmed in 2022 as a Venture Partner. Daniel brings extensive investment experience with successful Medtech & Biotech investments over the last 20 years.

    Prior to joining Accelmed, Daniel founded his own investment consulting company conducting, on behalf of major funds (including Accelmed, Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation, Orbimed, Pontifax, BRM, Peregrine, Alive, aMoon, Milestone…), the analysis & execution of more than 40 investment opportunities in the healthcare industry and in medical devices in particular.

    Prior to that, Daniel was the General Manager of Fosun Pharma in Israel where he was involved in large transactions including Alma Lasers (HKSE 1696.HK), Kite Pharma (acquired by Gilead), TytoCare & CheckCap (NASDAQ:CHEK).

    Daniel began his career in PE & Venture Capital at Credit Agricole Private Equity supporting both fund of funds and direct investment in Israel.

    Daniel has a B.Sc in Applied Mathematics & Computer Engineering and an MBA from ESSEC Business School in Paris.

    Dr. Irit Yaniv is an experienced HealthTech investor and executive. She plays an important role in leading Accelmed Ventures' portfolio companies, serving either as Chairperson or as an active board member. She is a co-founder of Digma Medical and NitiNotes.

    In addition to being a Venture Partner and managing Accelmed's Venture fund, Dr. Yaniv is the CEO and Co-Founder of Almeda Ventures. Dr. Yaniv holds an MD degree from the Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the Recanati Business School at Tel Aviv University.

    Dr. Guy Ohad is a radiologist with extensive experience in across both the technology and medical devices sectors. Most recently, he was CEO at POP Medical Solutions (now FEMSelect), a women’s health company developing a minimally invasive device for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse. Prior to POP, he was Vice President of Clinical and Business Development for the CR product line at Orex, a CSH company (formerly Kodak). In addition, he served as a consultant to several medical device companies and as a clinical advisor to Medica VC. Dr. Ohad holds an M.D. from Tel Aviv University.

    Dr. Alpert began working with Accelmed in 2011. Previously, she had served as Corporate Senior Vice President for Global Regulatory Affairs at Medtronic and Vice President of Regulatory Science at C.R. Bard. Prior to entering private industry, Dr. Alpert held a variety of management positions at the US FDA covering drugs, devices and radiological health, and foods. Notably, Dr. Alpert was Director of the Office of Device Evaluation from 1993-1999. Susan remains a member and was formerly Chair of the Board of the Society for Women’s Health Research, and has also served on the Board of the Food Drug Law Institute, the Medical Technology Leadership Forum, and Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation (WBL). She is also a Fellow and former Chair of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society. Susan served on the Executive Committee of the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative and served two terms on the Board of the Minnesota International Center.

    Dr. Alpert completed her undergraduate degree at Barnard College, Columbia University in New York City, and is a Pediatric Infectious Disease clinician with a Ph.D. in Medical Microbiology from NYU and an M.D. from the University of Miami, who has practical experience in laboratory research and clinical trials.

    Ilan Ben Oren brings more than 20 years’ experience in R&D and management in the medical technology sector. Prior to joining Accelmed, he served as the CTO of Exalenz Bioscience, (TASE:EXEN), developer of an innovative breath-based technology for diagnosing liver and gastrointestinal disorders. Prior to that, he held various positions from project manager to CTO at Oridion Medical (SWX:ORIDN). Mr. Ben-Oren is author of more than 35 patents and patent applications. He holds a Master's degree with special honors, Summa Cum Laude, in Applied Physics and the Science of Materials from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.

    Maria brings over 25-years of experience in the healthcare sector, working alongside companies of all sizes and assisting them across an entire spectrum of functions, including: Strategic Planning, Financing, Business Development, Partnership Management, Sales and Marketing, and Capital Raising. Maria is originally a Human Geneticist by training, turned Accountant, Investment Banker, and Healthcare Executive. She has extensive international operational experience across different continents.

    Prior to joining Accelmed she served for eight years as the Founding and Managing Partner of Ridgetop Health Fund, an early VC fund focused on Digital Health, Health Technologies.

    Maria spent 10 years at Novartis in many senior roles. She is the former Head of Sales & Marketing for Sandoz Latin America and former CEO/GM of Spain & Portugal at Novartis Vaccines & Diagnostics. Prior to this, Maria worked in investment banking as former Vice President of Healthcare at Morgan Stanley, London. She trained as a certified accountant and audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, London. She holds an MPH from Columbia University, New York and a BSc in Human Genetics, from the University College London.

    Camilo has over 10 years of experience working across the healthcare spectrum in consulting, private equity, and investment banking. Camilo's prior private equity and investment banking experience include SFW Capital Partners, a fund focused on investing in the industrial and life sciences technology sectors; Citi's Healthcare Investment Banking group in New York, where he worked with Diagnostics, Life Sciences Tools, Biotechs, and Digital Health clients. In addition, Camilo worked at L.E.K. Consulting in their Boston and London offices, partnering with healthcare companies on growth strategy projects and working with private equity clients.

    Camilo holds an MBA from the Wharton School, an MA in International Studies from the Lauder Institute of the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Boston College.
